In early November 2011, I spent a week living in the attic of a late 19th century house in La Grande, Oregon.

It's a small town in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, located along the Oregon Trail. The attic has been there almost as long as the town itself.

My days were spent walking and exploring, reading, noticing, watching, drawing, recording, and otherwise documenting. The La Grande Record is a summary of the products of that week.

Special thanks to Ryan Pierce and Signal Fire for making the experience possible.
